Welcome

It's time for our annual Family Camping Trip. We will be camping at Mountain Park Campground, which is located on the Cache la Poudre River, 32 miles northwest of Fort Collins. Alhamdulillah, we have the group site reserved, so we will have plenty of space for campers and their vehicles, inshaAllah.

General Info

The following activities are available at the campsite:

• Camping (of course)
• Hiking
• Fishing
• Arts and Crafts
• Camping skills workshops for older children and adults

Cost

Because of the popularity of this event, space will be limited. We can only guarantee you a spot if you register through this website and complete payment after registration. The cost for registration is $50 per person. For MYPI sponsors and early registration the cost is $40 per person. Early registration ends on June 4 at 11:59 pm. If you have a MYPI family sponsorship the cost for everyone in your immediate family is $40 per person. To become a MYPI sponsor, click here.

If you register as a family, your maximum cost will be $200.

Because this is a family trip, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Frequently Asked Questions

• I have never camped before and have no idea what to do, and what to pack. Should I attend?
  • Yes! We will let you know what to bring. We can recommend good, low-cost tents, pads, sleeping bags, etc. from places like WalMart, and if you want to buy top-of-the line equipment we can recommend that to you as well. MYPI staff will help you set up your tent (or anything else), if you need the help. But chances are, your other brothers and sisters attending will beat us to it.
• I am not interested in physical activities. I just want to sit by the river and eat good food. Should I attend?
  • Yes! There are no required activities. If you want, you can chill all day, and relax as much as you want.
• I am not interested in sitting by the river. I want an active event where I get 20,000 steps a day and get so tired that I fall asleep as soon as I enter my tent. Should I attend?
  • Yes! There are a lot of opportunities for hikes. Some of them are very easy and chill. Others are very strenuous, and only recommended for people with some experience.
• I have a little child/sibling who I would have to bring with me. Should I attend?
  • Yes! In the past people have brought toddlers with them. Of course, parents are responsible for their children. We will have activities for kids as well.
• I don't want to miss my salaat. Should I attend?
  • Yes! We will pray salaat in Jama'ah inshaAllah.
• I don't like getting wet in the rain. Should I attend?
  • Yes! InshaAllah we'll have canopies set up for outdoor eating and hanging out. We've also reserved a building/shelter where we can go if it rains a lot. Usually, if it rains it's just for a short time.
• I don't like camping if there aren't any S'mores. Should I attend?
  • Yes! We'll have campfires and s'mores with Halal (Zabiha) marshmallows, inshaAllah.

Waiver/Consent Form

I am above 18 years of age.

I will ensure that all members of this registration follow all instructions provided by MYPI staff.

I understand that I am responsible for the health and safety of all members of this regsitration, especially those under the age of 18.

I understand that the campsite has quiet hours of 10pm to 6am and will ensure that all members of this registration honor this for the enjoyment of my fellow campers.

I hereby execute this Release in favor of the Muslim Youth for Positive Impact (MYPI)

• By signing this Release, the Releasor acknowledges, understands and agrees that, in consideration of MYPI allowing the Releasor to participate in the Released Activities, the Releasor waives any and all claims against MYPI, whether based on contract, negligence or otherwise, for damages of any nature or kind the Releasor may suffer as a result of his or her participation in the Released Activities. Releasor expressly releases, and agrees to forego any legal action against, MYPI and its officers, employees, agents and assigns as to any claims, costs or expenses the Releasor may have that arise from or out of the Released Activities.
• Nothing in this Release shall be construed to waive, limit or otherwise modify any governmental immunity that may be available under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act, C.R.S. §§ 24-10-101, et seq., to MYPI and its officials, employees, agents or other persons acting on the MYPI’s behalf.
• Should any provision of this Release be held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall not affect or impair the validity, legality or enforceability of any other provision of this Release.

PARENTAL CONSENT AND RELEASE FORM

• My child(ren), named above, has (have) permission to participate in this event. I understand that this activity may cause injury to the participants.
• ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PERSONAL LIABILITY AND WAIVER: I understand that this event may expose my child(ren) to some risks and I assume any such risk that may arise there from. I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses for any injuries that might occur to my child(ren) by reason of his/her/their participation. By signing this form, however, I hereby release MYPI from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, complaints, suits or other forms of liability that any of them may sustain arising out of any unfortunate events.
• I also confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren).
