Lily Pad Lake
The Lily Pad Lake Trail is located in the Eagle Nest Wilderness off of Ryan Gulch Road. Toward the end of the road there is a parking area on the left. From here, there are two different trailheads that leave from the parking lot, so make sure you take the Lily Pad Lake Trailhead.
This trail is a great option for families. It is easy to follow, with multiple signs showing you which way to go when the trail splits. Toward the beginning you will travel through thick lodgepole pine and aspen stands, then you will find several beaver ponds hidden near the Salt Lick Trail junction. Enjoy views of the Dillon Reservoir and Buffalo Mountain as you approach the lake.
Due to limited parking at the trailhead, we will meet at 11:30 AM at Silverthorne Transit Center: map If you arrive late, buses arrive at 11:45 and 12:15 - you can get on the next one and meet us at the trailhead. We will get off at the Wildernest stop - let the driver know that is where you intend to get off.
There is no cost for parking at the station or the bus ride.
